Krishen Iyer is the owner and founder of MAIS Consulting, a consulting company based in Encinitas, where he has been providing management consulting services for over thirty years. He is a retired Vice President of the Control Data Corporation and former manager in the Computer Science Department at U.C. San Diego. Mr. Iyer’s consulting career spans thirty-seven years, from information technology to health care, with expertise in computer software development, systems engineering, and operations management.

Krishen Iyer obtained a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bombay. An M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN, and an MBA from the University of California, San Diego.

Career Highlights
Krishen Iyer joined the Control Data Corporation, where he started his career as a computer operator on CDC computers in Minneapolis. He became a CDC Field Engineer helping customers with their computer installation and software problems in Europe. Krishen Iyer moved to Minneapolis, where he served as Lead Systems Engineer for two years before switching to the computer software development team, working on compilers for several years. He moved to San Diego, where he worked as a Systems Engineer with the Control Data/Univac Division in San Diego, supporting CDC computers running C/S-10 operating systems.

Krishen Iyer was recognized as Employee of the Month for October by the CDC Employees’ Association. He was awarded the US-Japan Exporter Award from the US-Japan Economic Development Association and has supported many charities.
